About Me

Political Passion

This page is about me and my interest in politics. I assumed you guessed that because the page title kind of gives you a hint.

I am 15 years old Cassidy Conley and I love government and politics. When I tell anybody about this passion, they often go into confusion and try to persuade me to give it up. Why, though? Shouldn't I want to be involved in the nation I live in? I put there comments aside and continued to work towards create a better nation as much as I can, but when did it all begin?

It all started when my mom put together my American Studies curriculum and I was not thrilled. I didn't want to learn about America because I was scared. I didn't think I was mentally ready to learn about Americas dark past, but I had no choice. Since I am homeschooled, I have to work diligently to proof my work. I dreaded learning about the cruel, dark past of America until I used that knowledge to better my perspective of where we are today and how much further we could be.

I zoomed through my American Studies and actually began to love it. In my spare time, I would watch Congress floor exchanges and listen to the news. What a nerd. You'd always see me doing something to learn about or help America in anyway!

Soon, I began to follow a couple of politicians and learn about our leaders. I wasn't quite happy with the ways things were going because our leaders were not working for the better of the American people. I knew at that moment it is going to take a lot more than me learning and staying current on issues to change the nation. That is why I created this website. I want to keep people informed on issues, because it is crucial that we keep a clear vision of what is happening, and to advocate or voice what should be happening to the people of America!

Personal Bio

There are millions of ways to describe me! Funny (I'd say I am pretty hilarious), intriguing, fierce, bold, bright, joyful, helpful, young, the list goes on and on and on.

I love to impact people and help them in anyway which is also a huge reason why I am stuck in politics, but other than that, I am a competitive figure skater that has been figure skating for 2 years! It has been quite the journey, but this sport is also where my passion lies.

On most days of the week, you can find me on the ice having the best time of my life.  It started approximately 1 1/2 years ago when my coach started training me in figure skating. I saw her as a representation of what I could be one day: a beautiful, black figure skater!  I poured my heart into the sport right away and started passing tests and competed in several competitions.

A typical day for me includes:  early morning homeschooling, afternoon figure skating training and/or part-time work at the rink, and evenings volunteering and staying involved with the community.  I also enjoy journaling, public speaking, playing chess, and debate. I am such a nerd!
