Approximately one year ago, George Floyd died of police brutality. The story of his death shook the nation and created a huge movement during world-wide pandemic that will forever be in history. We marched, screamed, and begged for justice as nothing was being done. Finally, 11 months later, Derek Chauvin had his trial and was sentenced up to 40 years! This sounds like justice, but has it really been served?

This topic was a touchy area for me to speak on. I didn't know what to say and if I said anything, would that be going against my religion? Hey! Before you click off my blog and cancel me, know that I never hated people from the LGBTQ+ community, I just didn't know what to say. But, overtime and research, I learned.

Over the 15 years, at this time, that I have been alive, I have experience trauma from the many racially motivated deaths of black people. When the nation takes one step forward, we take two step backwards, Honestly, I can speak on the many deaths that happened on camera within 15 years, but it will never end, so today I want to talk about one that is being recognized all over the nation.
